Would it be possible to have a world without “Darkness?”

Our physical experience is made up of opportunities to learn and evolve, to reconnect to Spirit as we make choices to discover, integrate and potentially master the energies of the earth as so many Ascended Masters have done before us.

The classroom in which we all journey through life is vast, and no two people will ever have identical experiences. However we are all presented with the choice between Light and Dark.

Many days we choose to embrace the darkness around us. Darkness sometimes masks itself in our emotions, but it is always present in the following:

Judgment

Criticism

Fear

Anger

Resentment

Depression

Pity

Abuse

Martyrdom

Enabling

Escapism

In-Action

ANYTHING that contributes to Separation instead of Solution!

And yet we have all participated in these very human experiences! Are we wrong? Are we evil for doing participating? Certainly not. These are our tools for learning, our guidelines for growth and indicators of our personal healing and empowerment.

We live in a world of Duality. Where there is Light, Darkness, too, exists. We focus on the Light to illuminate our Shadows, our Emotional Wounds, so that we may heal them.

As children we begin to test the boundaries of our physical and emotional worlds. We learn what hurts and what feels good. We are molded by our parents, peers and society’s doctrines, sometimes rebelling and sometimes accepting them. The impressions are made, however, and they become an integral part of who we grow to be!

As adults we often identify with the programming and wounding of our childhood. We often feel somewhat helpless to the old scars and guidelines even though we intellectually grasp their no longer relevant origins or applications in our current state of empowerment.

We must be reminded that we are no longer the helpless children we once were. We are accountable for our own choices and we create our own reality with those choices!

Hiding from the Darkness simply causes more Fear or Resentment, essential tools of our “inner demons.”

Allowing ourselves to see the Shadows, the things, emotions, people, and energies that block us from the Light, gives us the opportunity to reassess and make choices that support our healing!

When we see something we truly do not like about our actions, thoughts or emotional state, when we know what that Shadow is, we can conquer it! We can change our reality with awareness and action!!

Working with these Shadows one at a time slowly peels away the layers of personal history and stops the buildup of additional sediment. Choosing to release a Shadow is the most important step in healing.

Once the choice is made it resonates within the physical body and then begins to move into the layers of the aura, cleaning out emotional debris and allowing Light to fill the resulting holes.

The more we focus on what we are creating, the more the Light becomes our focus! The result? We carry less Darkness and cannot be so easily wooed by its seductive nature.

Shifting consciousness, spiritual awareness and greater personal empowerment are the results every student of Light desires. We begin by identifying our Shadows and taking them on one at a time. In addition to this, the focus of each day’s energies is wrapped around the following energies:

Gratitude

Forgiveness

Hope

Joy

Compassion

Humility

Spiritual Connection

Healing

Empowerment

Passion

Wisdom

Faith

Service

We cannot escape the Darkness. It is our teacher. But make no mistake, it is not a friend. Denying its presence is Darkness in itself, but embracing it carries deeper dangers.

Illuminate your Shadows and the Darkness will shrink from the Light you create.

How can I tell the difference between a Dream or Astral Travel?

Dreams are often part of a complex psychological detoxification process we go through as the subconscious purges itself. But there is an additional type of “dream” state in addition to this. Better known as Astral Travel, this state of awareness is a regular experience for each of us, occurring at least once a day as we drift into twilight awareness before or during sleep.

Telling the difference is not quite as difficult as it might seem!

Dreams are often disjointed, and can be controlled with lucid dreaming techniques. They are centered predominantly on psychological issues and emotional wounding and can often jump from subject to subject as the detoxification process occurs.

Astral Travels are tangible. They may bring us to a different dimensional awareness or place, and may seem strange at first, but are rarely disorganized in nature.

The strangeness of the place and the beings there is very often quickly replaced with a familiarity and comfort, as we have most likely journeyed there before and are only just remembering the connection!

There are those who walk between two worlds with conscious awareness of both. Often referred to as psychic, these people are not unlike anyone else except for their awareness and acceptance of things not normally “seen” by the naked eye. This may apply to energy, spirits or dimensions themselves.

Everyone has the ability to awaken this psychic awareness! It is one of our keys to understanding the spiritual nature of our existence. There is no inherent malevolent energy present in this awakening. It is, rather, an expansion of our physical self. A deeper connection to Spirit and Life!

Very often, smells are associated with other-dimensional beings. This sense of smell is part of what we refer to as clairsentience, a “psychic” awareness that comes through physical sensation rather than aural or visual influence. Just as we have a scent, all beings have a scent with which they can be recognized.

Clairaudience refers to the sounds or tones we recognize as they are transmitted from an other-dimensional being. From words to bells, hums, clicks and more, these sounds are heard using a “psychic” awareness.

Clairvoyance is the most familiar and coveted “psychic” gift most commonly discussed and often misused. This visual connection to other dimensions is often influenced by imagination and the desire to see what cannot normally be seen with the naked eye.

First glimpses of this gift awakening usually come through the peripheral vision. We recognize movement or shapes on the edges of our visual scope and very often dismiss them as dust or our eyes going out of focus.

For some of us there is little introduction to the awakening of this gift, and the shapes, colors and beings once “invisible” to the naked eye are simply present and alive in our awareness.

The wise psychic never relies solely on a single gift, but seeks validation from all three.

In an Astral Travel experience, all of the individual’s gifts are open and functioning. There is deep and tangible awareness and connection to the environment and the beings present.

It is our post-assessment that can cause confusion and fear around these encounters, and when first exploring the world of Astral Travel it is important to be guided by a person who knows the keys of protection and the laws that govern the world of other-dimensional travel!

Can I experience Passion without Joy?

Without Joy, Passion is often directed to fulfill destructive patterns. Manifesting themselves through deeply rooted emotional states or flares, these patterns ride on the wave of Passion’s fire.

Passion, flooding through the presence of Joy, carries within it a powerful ray of creation itself, a divine and magickal spark of inspiration, energy and sensation! Through Joy, Passion’s energies are directed to creation and light.

Joy cannot be created. It is not the result of an action or word. It simply is. We must connect to it and then allow it to exist in the core of our beings. The concept of “making someone happy” is most certainly a fallacy. It is simply not possible. We must individually seek and awaken Joy within ourselves!

In Joy, the Goddess finds the connection to and recognition of the divine within herself and in others. For her, Joy is beauty, appreciation, gratitude, reverence and faith. It is acceptance, forgiveness and hope.

Connecting to nature by going for a walk or a swim, petting a dog or hugging a tree are simple ways to align your energies with Joy. Joy exists in the breath of the winds and the murmur of the waters. It exists in the flutter of wings and the scent of every budding thing. Romantic? Perhaps, but true nonetheless.

Created with Joy, the earth carries within her womb and her many children, the keys to our earthly questions. And Joy transcends even the earth herself, moving through every dimension and universe, tickling every being blessed with a soul. For it is within the soul that Joy is born within each of us.

Find your Joy! And pass it on!!

Question: What are some basics on how to understand how my candle is burning when I burn it for a reason other than ambience?

Answer: Following is a list of basic clues as to how to read your candle. . .

FLAME

Bright flame means the energy is strong and being clearly sent into the universe. Your question, or reason for burning the candle, is in alignment with what you are actually asking. Sometimes we plan to burn a candle for something, but our energy, mind or intention is actually something else. This will create a hazy or clouded flame.

The size of the flame also indicates the nature of energy being sent out. A large flame indicates more passion, emotion, strength or energy present, while a small flame or one that flickers in and out, indicates weakness, lack of energy or risk.

SMOKE

When a candle burns with no smoke, it means there is little to burn away from the core issue, or main reason you are burning the candle.

White smoke is indicative of the positive energy and people flowing to support the wish.

Black smoke indicates the release or presence of negative energies or blockages.

Smoke may also be read (we call this scrying) as images may appear to support the answering of your question.

DRIPPINGS & POOLS

Pay attention to how any wax may leak from the candle during a burn. The number of spots the candle “leaks” are significant as well as the direction in which they flow from the candle and how they settle on the candle holder.

Often images may appear in the wax as it is melting (another form of scrying), or as it cools on the candle holder. Pay attention to the images you see, even if they don’t appear to be “clear” to you. Your first glimpse is often the most significant one! There is really no text to help you accurately define what you are reading, as the results are entirely based on your question, and what the images ultimately mean to you.

The only person you might wish to read for you would be someone who has actually created or dressed the candle for you. They would have an impartial and clear picture of what was present as they read.

WICK

The direction your wick is pointing also has significance. Each direction carries a specific vibration, and based on the direction the wick ends facing, you will be able to determine the nature of your answer.

North: manifestation, creation, abundance, acceptance, god

East: clarity, vision, focus, new beginnings

South: passion, joy, fertility, sexuality, sensuality, goddess

West: flow, flexibility, movement, emotions, ancestors

Question: What makes a goddess a Goddess?

Answer: It is this very question that started my personal Goddess-work.

I spent years romanticizing their ancient stories and realized that I had created a separation between myself and these extraordinary beings.

How could I compare myself with a creator of the world? Or divinely expressed sculptures of the Venus de Milo and so many others?

I was just. . .me.

The beauty is, that the Goddess is within each of us. She is not some distant or ancient energy. She is our passion, joy and uniqueness! She is the realization of our dreams and the power to change the world!

What truly makes a Goddess is her knowledge of these things about herself. A Goddess values herself and generates happiness from within.

She goes into the world with strength and passion and leaves hope and light in her footsteps.

She is connected to her world, her community, her God, and herself.

She embraces her faults and commits to seeking the light as she makes her choices.

YOU are a Goddess!
